Hi and welcome to my Blog! I'm Kate Triano, a wedding & lifestyle photographer based in the DC Metro area. I live in a nearby suburb with my wonderfully awesome husband Joey, and our adorably cute dog, Pancakes

I absolutely LOVE what I do and always try to have that passion come through in my photography. I strive to be the best photographer, wife, friend, daughter, sister that I can be (not necessarily in that order!). I update my Blog often with photos from all the weddings and portrait sessions I have. I also post some personal photos/ideas as well. I over-share! :-)

I really really really love comments so leave them as you read them! Enjoy and check back often!

I just recently bought the 50mm f1.2L lens and am officially in love with it. I was missing out big time! This baby is not leaving my side again. :)
(pic shot with the 85mm at 1.2, 1/320, iso400)

I often get asked what is “in my bag”. These days it seems to be getting heavier and heavier. Talking to a friend/colleague the other day we were lamenting the fact that once we think we have everything we want (and need)….we inevitably find one more thing that we MUST add to our arsenal. For me, it was the 50 1.2. When I shoot a wedding I bring everything in my bag..literally. I have an awesome rolling Tamrac bag that keeps everything safe and snug. On portrait and engagement shoots I just bring 2 camera bodies and 2-3 lenses in my Kelly Moore Bag. It’s much easier to get around with!

So, as of today, here is what I am armed with:

Canon 5D Mark II
2 Canon 5D’s
Nikon F5 film camera w/24 f1.4 lens
*random toy film cameras and 100 GB’s worth of CF cards

Canon 50mm f/1.2L
Canon 35mm f/1.4L
Canon 85mm f/1.2L II
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS
Canon 100mm Macro f/2.8

2 Canon 580EX II’s
2 Canon 580EX’s
Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceiver/Receivers
Sunpak flash (for off camera lighting during receptions)
Sony video light
Light stand/tripod
*Plus a ton of re-chargeable batteries!

(I also have an old Canon 30D and 50 1.4 that I am trying to unload. If you are interested shoot me an email.)

Kate Triano Photography : ( May 5th - 15:32 ) I can't wait either! :)  Kate Triano Photography : ( May 5th - 15:32 ) Ha, I actually had the 24 1.4 and just sold it last month. I liked it but didn't use it nearly enough. For some reason I can't let go of the 24-70. It's like my first baby. :)  Ashley Ayres : ( May 5th - 15:01 ) Can\'t wait to see it in action as you capture my \"baby\"!  Justine : ( May 5th - 14:54 ) Next you need the 24mm 1.4, then you can get rid of that 24-70. :)
