WOW was this ever fun! Vicki and I have wanted to do another fun styled shoot together for awhile now, so when Ami of Elizabeth Anne Designs launched the Inspired Creations Contest, Vicki happily threw our combined hats in the ring. (is that a run-on sentence?)
I am SO THANKFUL to Lyssa+Kris for being the super hot bride+groom for us. They were after all the shoots main inspirtaion, being high school sweethearts and all. I can’t thank you guys enough for being a part of this!!
to borrow from Vicki’s post:
“I’ve been keeping these images under wraps for a week now and I’m so excited to share them today. The Inspired Creation Contest held by Ami at Elizabeth Anne Designs and Cyd at The Sweetest Occasion challenged wedding vendors to team up and create a unique wedding concept to inspire couples as they plan their event. I couldn’t resist and rushed to create a star-studded team of local DC vendors which included, Kate Triano Photography, Holly Chapple Flowers, and Paperzest. Other amazing vendors that contributed to the design included Unveiled Bridal Designs for the veil, Vintage Mama, a new dress designer on etsy, and Julia Juliette who created the letterpresses coasters.
My absolute favorite part of the shoot was the “Boombox Love” guests book, where guests can leave message for the couple on their big day.
Here are some of the fabulous images, but head over to The Sweetest Occasions Blog to see more, and post your love for the 80’s. We would love to win!”

Kris is kool like that.

Curly was a fantastic model (hillbilly teeth and all).

I hope everyone is comfortably resting and recovering from mounds of turkey, stuffing and pie. I know I had my share! This has been a very tough year for many reasons but there are so many things I have to be thankful for…..Joey, being the #1. He is always at my side through the good and the bad, and makes my days happier just by being him. I love you Joey!!! I am thankful for you.
Also, Saturday is my LAST wedding of the year! I can’t believe how fast this wedding season has flown by. 2010 is just about booked up so if you are interested in booking, send me a line fast! Now, I know I have been quite delinquent in posting, but I will have much more time to show all the amazing fall weddings I’ve shot soon. Here is a photo from Nicolette and Chris’s September wedding. More to come, I promise. KISSES!

Back in August, I flew into San Luis Obisbo (SLO, as the locals call it) to visit my friend Amy and her family. It was so nice to get away from the craziness of wedding season, although being away from Joey was hard! But spending quality time with Amy was priceless! I so wish we lived closer to one another!!
Here are her boys, Jake and Carter….morning snuggly time!

One day we went to Avila Valley Farms on our way from the beach. It was a quaint market/farm that was too adorable for words!

We also did a family shoot on a friend of a friends land, which is beautifully landscaped. I under-estimated shooting into the CA sun. Wow, it is a bit more intense there!
Such a beautiful family!

peekaboo!!

Jake and Carter are too cute! it was so much fun getting to know those little guys. HUGE plus, Carter took his first steps while I was there!

intense sun!

Amy + Tom, AKA SUPER-PARENTS! They deserved some photos of their own.

Love you guys!

I know I know, I am a bad blogger!
This shoot was a labor of love and I can’t thank the people involved enough. You may remember Maria and Michael from their wedding back in April. We didn’t have a lot of time for b+g portraits on their wedding day, so I wanted to do another shoot to give them lots of lovely images. They were up for anything and gave me free creative reign.
Enter Vicki of My Simple Details. When I saw a pic of Vicki’s vintage blue truck, I knew it had to be in the shoot. I asked her if she wanted to be a part of planning this shoot, and she was! Barbara, the amazingly talented + creative florist behind Growing Wild, was not only willing to hook us up with some flowers, but also hooked us up with her FARM! All the pieces were coming together nicely. The day of the shoot we had perfect weather, with a yummy golden sunset to give me the glow I needed to complete the look. It couldn’t have gone more beautifully!

The vintage RC Cola machine was compliments of Vicki’s Dad. Thanks Vicki’s Dad!

Barbara has HORSES! They were so beautiful and fit perfectly into the shoot if I do say so myself.

If you want to do a shoot if your wedding gear, or just a fun, themed portrait shoot, send me an email. Let’s chat!
