Again, I am way behind on blogging……sorry!

Amy and Jonathan were married on September 21st at the Strathmore Mansion in Maryland (such a great venue!). They opted to see one another before the ceremony which really helps with the flow of the day. Their first look was so sweet! We took care of all the formals then then walked around the property for some romantic photos of the two of them.

Finally, I get to the wedding of Ashleigh and Elan! Their wedding was held at the Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria, which was a really lovely venue. The reception room had fantastic lighting and the ceremony was held outside which had a stunning view of the golf course. It was about a zillion degrees outside with 100% humidity but we all survived There were a lot of sweet moments of the B&G fanning and dabbing each other during the ceremony. so cute!

Here are some pictures from Ashleigh and Elan’s pre-day after session. We went all around DC a few days before their wedding to get some sexy, relaxed portraits of the two of them. This is a great idea if you don’t have a lot of time on your actual wedding day to spend on photos. Plus it was really great getting to spend some quality time with them. They are such a fun, sweet and beautiful couple. You guys rock my world!

I’ve noticed on some other peoples blogs that they are doing a “brain dump”. Basically it’s just a bunch of randon thoughts/feelings that are going on in my head. I love to tell people about myself, but am not a huge talker, so this is perfect for me!

Here it goes:

-George, my amazing stepdad, is officially cancer free!! This is the best news ever! Now once all the meds are out of his system in 1-2 months, he will be 100% back to normal. Thank you God!!!

-i’ve lost 15 pounds in about a month and am feeling good. i would love to lose 15 more!

-pancakes ate a calla lilly yesterday (or at least sucked on it for awhile), and i read online they are poisonous to dogs. another freaked out call to the emergency vet led us to the aspca poison control. we followed their instructions and fed her some plain yogurt to kill whatever is in the flower. she was totally fine and didn’t even get an upset tummy. hooray!

-my blog header images are driving me nuts. they are sized correctly but for some reason half of them are showing up smaller than they should, with white lines on either side. so annoying!

-i’ve been on a clothing purge lately – 4 huge trashbags are full of my clothes to give away. i want 4 more out the door!

-i’m obsessed with the following shows – 90210, gossip girl, and one tree hill. i’m 28, is that too old to watch that stuff?

-the older i get the more freckles i get. my nose is going to be one huge one eventually!

-i’m dying to go to a photography workshop

-joey and i haven’t seen a movie in forever (at the theater). any recommendations?

-i need a haircut and color desperately

ETA – oh, one more thing i must say – I think Miley Cyrus is the worst singer ever. I think she is beautiful and I’m sure she is good on her Disney show, but she cannot sing. Did anyone see her on Stand up to Cancer, or Fashion Rocks? I can’t believe they included her in that group of amazing talented women singers – she just embarrassed herself.
