Jeanne and Eric were married the first Saturday of the year, and they set the LOVE bar high! These two are so sweet together, it is just really touching to see.

I have to show these cookies, they were so good. There was a treat bar at the end of the evening and you could take your faves in a little goodie bag. Well, I ate one of these cookies before we left, it was so good I left with several in my bag!

A few months ago I decided that while we’re in CA, I wanted photos taken of Joey and me ( joey is the grammar police and says it is me, not I). I originally wanted to do a session in my wedding dress but Joey wasn’t too into that idea since we already did the wedding dress thing!

I was bummed at first then got the idea to do a sexy shoot with a fabulous headpiece. I found Dorene’s veils online and she created the birdcage veil I was dreaming of. It is so prefect I want to wear it all the time! LOL I highly recommend my brides check her out, her styles are amazing and she will make whatever you can imagine.

I opted for my friend and fab photographer Trista to take the photos. We have a lot in common and I absolutely adore her photos, she is phenomenally talented. I knew she would do the veil justice!

We ended up doing half dressy, and half casual. I love them all! Here are a few of my favorites, check out more on her blog!

We are getting ready to head back home tomorrow, but I wanted to show a teaser pic! I had the camera turned around on me and Joey, and it was so much fun!

Joey and I are headed to sunny California for a whole week! Woo-hoo!!!! We are staying in Newport at the Marriott Villas. My Mom and George have a timeshared condo there and it so awesome. I can’t wait to stick my toes in the sand at Laguna Beach and walk around Balboa.

We’re also doing a fun little shoot with a photographer friend here. Stay tuned for that! Oh California, here we come!!!

I won’t have access to voicemail, and little access to email, so I will return all calls/emails on Tuesday the 26th when I am back in the office.

I just googled newport beach and this photo came up. Looks good to me! Especially since it is currently 12 degrees here. TWELVE!

here is a pic from my point & shoot camera. this was the Saturday night sunset at Crystal Cove, which is the coolest little stretch of beach. there is a great view of Catalina there, we can also see Catalina from our room. California rocks! It is currently 84 degrees!

Speaking of dress inspiration, one of my all-time favorite dresses was Lauren’s dress from August 2008. The detail, design, style and fabric was just amazing.
