Magazines and catalogs are like my crack. I get so excited when they arrive in the mail, and I am never one to resist the luring of the checkout aisle. Never. It definetly runs in the family too. My Mom, sister and sister-in-law and I share magazines regularly. So much in fact that it drives Joey nuts. I think it’s the clutter they produce though, there are stacks everywhere in our house! Here are some recent catalogs that have given me inspiration for my photography, which their crisp editorial style are perfect for.

And a big Thank You to The Knot magazine for printing Chip and Lauren’s wedding.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
I was so honored to be apart of this wonderful gift. Liz Guthrie, of San Jose Wedding Consultants, and Wish Upon a Wedding, along with many other generous vendors, are offering a luxurious high-end $100,000 wedding in San Francisco. Talk about amazing!!! Along with Vicki and Phong, from My Simple Details here in Fairfax, and Mike and Zan, from Silk and Silver Productions, we shared the great news with the winners, Vanessa and Mike, who are also currently located here in VA. It was an incredible thing to be a part of, and I am so happy I was asked to photograph the big reveal.
This coincided perfectly with my free wedding photography giveaway. I am happy to announce that the winner is…….. going to be announced tomorrow. Ooopps, sorry, it’s taking longer than I thought to choose!!! Thanks to all of the couples who submitted their stories. I’ve had a great time reading through them all with Joey. It gave me the warm-fuzzies to read so many love stories on Valentines Day morning. What a great way to start the day!

A lot of times I go into an engagement session without having met the couple before since more and more of my clients are booking sight un-scene. Vicki from My Simple Details styled the shoot, and set me up with the couple. I knew I was in for a treat, as Vicki can rock out details! I was so excited when I met Astrid and Fred, especially seeing their pup Henry. He is a Bichon, which as you know my little Pancakes is half Bichon. So they had a piece of my heart from the get-go! Vicki hauled out a fab white leather settee as well as some super adorable props for the shoot.
If you are interested in setting up a fabulously styled shoot with Vicki and I, shoot me an email! (kate@katetriano.com)
Enjoy the photos!
